Your First Visit to PVA

At Peripheral Vascular Associates, our goal is to provide the best vascular care for every patient – every day.  We are honored to partner with you in your vascular health care.  On your first visit it is important that we get to know you.  We will need to obtain your medical history, insurance information, and review your current medications.  You may choose to arrive early and complete the needed paperwork or to expedite your check in process you may download the forms from our website prior to your visit.

Your symptoms may require you to have an ultrasound test.  Some tests will be performed prior to your visit with the vascular surgeon and others may be ordered after you see the physician.  The office staff will assist the physician as they conduct a complete physical exam and discuss your symptoms.  If you had an ultrasound test it will also be reviewed.  All treatment options will be discussed in detail and an appropriate treatment plan will be designed for you.

After your exam a report will be given to your primary care physician and any further testing will be scheduled.  Our staff will also assist you with the Cath Lab or surgical appointments you may need.

Our practice encourages you and your family to be involved in every aspect of your care.  We encourage you to ask questions in order to understand your vascular condition and the treatment process.
