Mark Wengrovitz, M.D.

Vascular Surgeon and Endovascular Specialist

With over 25 years’ experience in taking care of patients with vascular disease, Dr. Wengrovitz joined PVA in 1996.

Trained to treat all vascular conditions including Peripheral Artery Disease (P.A.D.), stroke, venous disease and abdominal aortic aneurysm, Dr. Wengrovitz has a clinical interest in lower extremity occlusive disease.  Also referred to as leg ischemia this happens when plaque is blocking blood flow and oxygen to the leg which can potentially lead to amputation if not addressed quickly and properly.

Dr. Wengrovitz is trained to provide all treatment options for vascular disease including medical management, minimally invasive endovascular procedures, hybrid surgical techniques and open surgery.

Originally from the East Coast, Dr. Wengrovitz made San Antonio his home when he joined PVA.  He is a proud father of two sons, Nicholas Paul and Benjamin Daniel.  In his spare time he enjoys spending time on the greens of a golf course or in the clear waters of a pool.
